Hey all, if you buy an SMA from another seller such as say independent living, though jaws eight isn't on there yet, can you still get the SMA and have the same serial number? thanks for any help, just curious because I'd rather pay another site, then stupid freedom and their damn pdf crap.

since it's just an SMA, you must have a serial number to get one. So the answer should be yes. But don't take my word for it.

sure, in fact, fs would rather you buy from the other site to enhance the distributor system.

I did read something on the Freedom Scientific site about that. I think that it was in the Jaws Center and then the Jaws 8 release. Hope it helps. To get the RealSpeak voices you will need to get a cd from FS.

The real speak wasn't what i am concerned about I just don't need the bullshit of going through the pdf form and all of that, when i can get it for another site and same price. thanks for the help. how wouldi go about sayig that my serial number is xxxxx?

You just tell them what your serial number is. I used to work for a reseller here in Canada. You provide your serial number to whoever you talk to/put it in the notes field of an order from another site. That'll work.

Can you still put an SMA in your shopping basket? That's how I use to buy my SMA's on the fs store.

Yes you can do this I got my sma from universal here in ohio and I am now waiting for my cd so that I can install the real speek voices.

I'm now using jaws8. I checked and the SMA I had when I had to buy a new upgrade for work still works for 8. I use universal low aids here in ohio as well.

I just call or email an office in kansas city here and they renew it for me. the state bought me jaws.
